Overview
The VP, Sales and Operations WMX serves as a key executive leader, responsible for driving growth across WMX service lines in EMEA, primarily focused on ecommerce, merchandise, and physical music businesses.
This role acts as a strategic bridge between WMG EMEA, regional teams, and WMX global leadership, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and compliance within the unique, fast‑paced music market throughout EMEA.
This role sits at the intersection of global commerce, supply chain, and artist brand strategy, ensuring all programs deliver operational excellence, creative integrity, and commercial success.
As part of the WMX infrastructure, this position has a dotted line into the WMG executive team with a mandate to support EMEA regional growth.
Responsibilities
- Operational
Leadership: Localize supply chain requirements for WMG EMEA and WMX teams, serving as the conduit between global operations and the EMEA region to define system integration.
- P& L Management & Financial
Strategy: Drive the creation, with global finance and WMX, of market‑specific targets across ecommerce merchandising and physical music.
Work with finance to drive margin and OIBDA targets and ensure regional adherence to reach these targets.
- Strategic Planning & Growth: Work across the EMEA and international repertoires to find opportunities to drive revenue activity in EMEA across all channels (ecommerce, merchandise, and physical music).
- Logistics: Design and implement an optimal fulfillment network for D2C and retail distribution across the EMEA region.

Operations: Coordinate deep partnership and collaboration between WMX and label teams (A&R, Marketing, Tour, Commercial) to optimize the delivery of artist campaigns and services.
- Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key WMG EMEA teams and third parties/vendors to serve as a key pillar of WMX and EMEA.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow the local WMX teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation, with an \"artist‑first\" approach and a strong P& L mindset.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between EMEA’s operational staff and global technology teams to define requirements for localization and system integration.
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales, margin, and fulfillment data to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and the overall fan experience.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work with creative, marketing, finance, tax, and artist management to align global programs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience driving sales and growing a cross‑channel P& L, including significant time in a senior leadership position within the music industry (i. e., major record label, music publisher, or top digital distributor)
- Proven experience in managing large teams and navigating complex, multi‑national organizations.
- Bilingual - English and German/French (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in commercializing/executing tour merchandise and/or large‑scale event logistics across multiple international markets.
- Proven success in managing multi‑territory product launches and working with cross‑border stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and project management skills,
- Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities across cultures, time zones, and up to senior leadership.
- Passion for music, artist brands, and global fan engagement.
- Preferred Familiarity with multi‑currency, multi‑language e‑commerce platforms and international payment systems.
- Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and production practices in apparel or consumer goods.
