The Warner Chappell Music (WCM) UK finance team comprises five people who collectively report to the SVP of Operations and Finance in our London office at Kensington Court. The team is responsible for the financial reporting of the UK music publishing business and partners closely with A&R, Sync, Legal & Business Affairs, Royalties, Copyright, People, Facilities, and the London Shared Service Centre (SSC).
This position will assist the finance team across all financial and accounting functions for the WCM UK office and requires a presence in the office four days a week.
Your Responsibilities
Day‑to‑Day Duties
- Collaborate closely with the SSC team to input invoices and oversee timely processing of payments, ensuring smooth financial transactions.
- Ensure revenue is accurately allocated to the correct reporting codes in SAP, promoting financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Work with the Finance Manager to populate accurate cashflow forecasts, aiding in strategic financial planning.
- Liaise effectively with the Tax department to maintain updated tax documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Monthly Duties
- Prepare month‑end journals with careful attention to detail, allocating costs among reporting entities.
- Complete comprehensive intercompany reconciliations, obtaining confirmations from affiliate offices to validate transactions and balances.
- Maintain current and comprehensive management reports covering sync revenue, advance spend, production music income tracker, and T&E tracker.
- Prepare various tax compliance reports and filings, including VAT returns and Withholding Tax returns.
Other Duties
- Act as an ambassador for the global SAP rollout, triaging queries and issues between the business unit and the SSC.
- Contribute to the preparation of financials for roster meetings, ensuring clarity and precision in reporting.
- Undertake ad‑hoc project work as required.
- Provide support for audits and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications

- Outstanding communication skills, adept at fostering strong and productive working relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with confidence in utilizing intermediate formulas such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and IFERROR (experience advantageous but not essential).
- Collaborative team player, willing to contribute across all tasks with a positive attitude and no task deemed too insignificant.
