- The deals office drives the evaluation and structure of all recorded music and music publishing deals to enable long-term growth
- We partner with closely with global business leaders to assess opportunities that balance creativity with commercial value strengthening our market position and shareholder value
- You will be a part of a dynamic global team to analyse songwriter/producer/artist signings and acquisitions
- You will partner closely with multiple teams such as legal, A&R and admin to ensure we have a 360 view of the deal, to accurately capture the financial impact of potential signings and use that information to inform the multi-million dollar deal making process
- Assist in building comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses (e.g. , DCF, IRR, payback period) for potential deals
- Support the structuring of deal terms and economic frameworks in collaboration with business, legal, and creative teams
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform deal assumptions and valuation benchmarks
- Prepare detailed presentations and reports for deal committee reviews, summarizing financial projections and key deal terms
- Contribute to the design and implementation of consistent modeling approaches and templates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for deal analysis
- Participate in post-deal reviews to understand actual performance versus initial deal thesis and identify areas for improvement in future deal structuring
- Stay informed on relevant industry trends, emerging business models, and deal-making best practices
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis, including discounted cash flow concepts and principlesMultiple years of experience in finance, investment banking, corporate development, or a related analytical role, preferably within the music, entertainment, or media industriesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentStrong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statementsExperience or interest in data analytics and automation would be advantageousExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
