About the Team The Catalogue team is the engine that maximises the cultural and commercial value of Warner Chappell Music’s legendary assets.
We bridge iconic legacy compositions with the modern entertainment landscape, ensuring our catalogues remain vibrant, relevant, and profitable.
Your Role You will lead the curation, nurturing, and expansion of our existing music catalogue, identifying high‑quality assets that align with Warner’s vision.
Your responsibilities include: Lead Catalogue Strategy build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities across UK and international markets.
Lead Commercial Evaluation develop business cases and investment recommendations; negotiate with songwriters, estates, publishers, lawyers, managers, investors, and other rights holders.
Market Intelligence identify emerging opportunities and new revenue streams; provide strategic recommendations.
Portfolio Leadership work with creative, sync, copyright, and commercial teams to maximize long‑term value; identify ways to increase commercial returns and creative engagement.
Industry Leadership represent Warner Chappell at industry events and conferences; act as a senior ambassador for the company.
This position requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office to support collaboration and talent development.
Qualifications Proven experience in catalogue acquisitions, business development, or commercial strategy within the music industry.
High‑energy, go‑getter attitude with relentless drive and initiative.
Substantial, authentic relationships across the entire music ecosystem.
Deep knowledge of music copyright, licensing, royalty structures, and rights administration.
Strong commercial and financial acumen; ability to evaluate catalogue performance and prepare senior‑level recommendations.
Understanding of global music industry trends, catalogue investment, and commercial opportunities.
Outstanding negotiation, communication, and influencing skills at senior level.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision‑making capabilities; balance creative and commercial priorities.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and operate within a global, matrix organisation.
Experience mentoring or developing others and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
Additional Desired Skills Ability to design high‑quality decks and visual materials using Canva or Google Slides.
Proactive approach to integrating Generative AI (e. g., Gemini) into everyday work to support productivity.
