The VP, Physical Sales – EMEA will lead the global scalability of artist merchandise and D2C physical music programs across markets in EMEA. This role sits at the intersection of global commerce, supply chain, and artist brand strategy, ensuring that every product program in your remit is delivered with operational excellence, creative integrity, and commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive year on year growth of physical sales across the EMEA region.
  • Partner closely with frontline and off‑roster teams to identify opportunities to maximise revenue and artist impact through physical products.
  • Support EMEA pricing strategies across our products and streaming platforms.
  • Build relationships with repertoire owners and input to release planning and strategies to maximise physical revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with supply chain teams to ensure EMEA commercial objectives are delivered seamlessly with robust end‑to‑end operations and project management across multiple markets.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and untapped physical distribution networks.
  • Bring creativity and innovation to physical sales opportunities that support artist brands and revenue outcomes.
  • Understand consumers and what drives superfans and different audience segments to align physical product strategies to needs and opportunities.
  • Coordinate across labels and keep supply chain partners updated on timelines and plans, to align product opportunities and service delivery.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools and AI enablement opportunities to enhance commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with local and centralised commercial and supply‑chain teams on technology enablement and processes to better serve EMEA and WMG as a whole.
  • Build knowledge of different markets and their roles in artist development and how they build audiences, to overlay the physical roadmap with marketing opportunities.
  • Identify revenue creation and optimisation opportunities of physical music products via D2C.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate timelines and costs, and ensure compliance with international trade and sustainability standards.
  • Coordinate global drops/programs, pre‑orders and tour events that drive physical sales.
  • Analyse sales, margin, and fulfilment data to improve efficiency, profitability, and fan experience.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with creative, marketing, finance, tax and artist management to align global programmes.
  • Orchestrate stakeholder engagement and reporting for all levels of the organisation, ensuring visibility and alignment from direct management through senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of defining and delivering a multi‑year commercial strategy for physical sales channels in the music industry.
  • Extensive experience owning and running a complex P&L across business lines.
  • Commercial leader experienced at managing multi‑territory physical product launches and working with cross‑border stakeholders.
  • Mastery of complex commercial contract structures.
  • Familiarity with multi‑language, multi‑market, multi‑culture physical sales growth.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities across cultures, time zones and up to senior leadership.
  • Passion for music, artist brands and global fan engagement.
  • Willingness to travel through EMEA and beyond the region as required to engage with global stakeholders.
