A Little Bit About Our Team: Warner Music’s EMEA Shared Service Centre is the home to the financial, tax, and administrative functions that provide critical support and best‑in‑class services to our European Recorded Music and Publishing businesses. The UK Centre embodies the innovative and creative spirit that stems from the company’s deep history in nurturing entrepreneurial thinking and artist‑focused innovation, enabling our employees to develop a wide range of skills through cross‑function collaboration and development opportunities.

The Indirect Tax Team sits within our EMEA Shared Services Centre and provides tax compliance across the region for all business lines. As WMG transitions to SAP S/4HANA, the team plays a crucial role in embedding tax processes into new systems and ensuring data integrity and compliance across multiple territories.

Your Role: The Indirect Tax Analyst is responsible for the end‑to‑end preparation of indirect and withholding tax (WHT) compliance. This role is designed for a detail‑professional who thrives in a controlled, process‑driven environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all tax filings are accurate, fully reconciled to the General Ledger, and supported by a comprehensive audit trail before moving to management sign‑off.

Here You’ll Get To:

  • Deliver High‑Quality Compliance: Manage the preparation of VAT, WHT, and statutory reports (Intrastat, EC Sales) for the EMEA region, ensuring all submissions meet both local requirements and global tax controls.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Perform mandatory end‑to‑end reconciliations between ERP data and tax reporting modules, identifying and resolving variances at the source.
  • Execute Quality Controls: Prepare and maintain comprehensive “audit‑ready” documentation for every filing, ensuring all internal checklists and control requirements are satisfied.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for regional affiliates regarding data queries, ensuring any adjustments are supported by clear financial reconciliations.
  • Track Global Milestones: Maintain internal compliance trackers to ensure real‑time visibility of filing statuses, payments, and refunds across the region.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify system anomalies and process gaps, collaborating with the Process Improvement team to enhance SOPs and system workflows.
  • Collaborate Strategically: Work under a unified departmental voice to resolve technical tax queries and participate in cross‑functional meetings with Finance and Global Tax leadership.

About You: You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of experience performing indirect tax compliance VAT accounting, preferably within a large multinational or Shared Service environment. Good understanding of UK and EU VAT regulations. You have a “right first time” mindset and a commitment to maintaining rigorous documentation standards. Strong work‑ethic, attention to detail, problem‑solving and analytical mindset. You have demonstrated an ability to think critically, multitask, prioritize projects, and work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You are a professional and clear communicator who understands the importance of following escalation protocols and maintaining departmental alignment. Experience working with S/4 HANA, OneSource Indirect tax Determination, or OneSource Indirect tax Compliance modules is preferred.

We’d Love It If You Also Had: Language fluency in English plus proficiency in another regional language would be a plus: Italian, French, German, or Spanish. Experience with workflow management tools (such as JIRA) and incident‑triage platforms (PEGA).

This position requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. We value in‑office collaboration, which is essential for talent development and strong working relationships.

Equal Opportunity: WMG is committed to inclusion and diversity in all aspects of our business. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and will evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, religion or belief, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, disability, pregnancy, childbirth or any other characteristic protected by law.
