Our studios are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post‑production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. Your New Role... You will be providing daily operational and administrative support to the Operations Manager and Operations Coordinators, ensuring the smooth running of studio activities across stages, workshops, and backlot areas. You will support key studio functions, including internal communications, site housekeeping, and departmental administration. The role requires a highly motivated and organised individual with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You are expected to be confident in both office‑based and on‑the‑ground work, responding to daily production needs and contributing to a professional, efficient, and safe studio environment. Through this, you will gain excellent knowledge of the industry and the running of a studio facility.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Administrator team to ensure consistent production support, communication, and coverage across all areas of the site.
- Provide operational support to production clients by offering solutions and support with queries.
- Provide support to the Coordinators with day‑to‑day activities on the studio lot, ensuring that production movements and schedule changes are documented and communicated to the wider WBSL teams.
- Act as a visible operational presence on the lot, proactively supporting clients, enforcing policies as needed, and maintaining site housekeeping standards across the studio and backlot areas.
- Support the new hire and end hire processes by preparing stage landlord checks and ensuring good housekeeping of the areas.
- Assist with enforcing the Vehicle Management Policy, including actively monitoring and managing vehicle compliance and escalating any parking breaches appropriately to maintain a safe and organised lot.
- Assist Coordinators with backlot activities, including notifying stakeholders of scheduled SFX activities and ensuring all relevant protocols are followed, including maintaining SFX record inventory.
- Assist Coordinators in maintaining the boundaries between the common and production areas of the site.
- Support the administrators with Traka key management, exec parking, animal passes, Materials to Site, and Drone activity requests.
- Support with preparing and distributing site memos, signage, and internal communications.
- Support in delivering Mini Operation Handbook and On‑lot Training sessions to new productions.
- Support in conducting weekly checks of temporary structures and utilities usage across the site and input data into relevant systems.
Qualifications & Experiences...
- Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems specific to the job role and department.
- Previous knowledge of/or an interest in the media, film, or events industry.
- Previous experience working in an administrative role.
- Previous experience working in an operational role.
- Knowledge and practical application of basic health and safety.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
