Your New Role… As a Production Executive within WBD Sports, you will oversee end‑to‑end production management across a diverse portfolio of live and non‑live sports content in the UK and Europe. This role plays a central part in translating editorial vision and business strategy into high‑quality, efficient delivery across our platforms. Working closely with editorial, technology, finance and external partners, you’ll help ensure our productions are consistently delivered to the highest standards. Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of multisport productions aligned to editorial vision, business strategy and budget.
  • Own the full production lifecycle, ensuring quality, timelines and financial targets are consistently met.
  • Coordinate and support Senior Production Managers and oversee wider Production Management teams across multiple sports.
  • Work closely with editorial Pillar Leads across your assigned sports portfolio.
  • Hold accountability for annual production budgets, including monthly forecasting, cost control and efficiency improvements.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, provisioning and payment processes for freelance production staff, including crew and on‑air talent.
  • Act as the senior production partner across cross‑functional teams including Technology, Finance, Legal, Digital and External Workforce.
  • Support production‑related projects and change initiatives that enable evolving business and operational needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in senior production management delivering sports productions across the UK and Europe.
  • Demonstrated capability in owning and forecasting complex, multisport production budgets.
  • Proven background overseeing and supporting senior managers within production or operations teams.
  • Strong technical understanding of sports television and digital production environments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change, resolve issues thoughtfully and maintain delivery in fast‑moving live production settings.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
