As Stores Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing that magic to life.

Role Purpose

The Stores Coordinator is responsible for the effective management, control and organisation of all food, beverage and consumable stock within the hotel, including the smooth handling of deliveries. The role ensures accurate receipt, storage, issuing and recording of goods to support consistent kitchen and Food and Beverage operations. Working closely with kitchen and Food and Beverage teams, the Stores Person maintains stock availability, minimises waste and supports food cost control. A key focus of the role is accurate inventory management, compliant storage and audit‑ready documentation in line with food safety, hygiene and allergen standards. Through attention to detail, organisation and collaboration, the Stores Person plays a vital role in protecting margins and supporting consistency of dish specification across all outlets.

Responsibilities

  • Stock Management & Control: Receive, check and record all deliveries against purchase orders and quality standards. Maintain accurate stock records for food, beverage and consumables across all outlets on all sites, reporting discrepancies promptly.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Carry out regular stock counts and reconcile variances in a timely manner. Update inventory systems accurately to ensure real‑time visibility and compliance with company procedures.
  • Ordering & Supplier Liaison: Support ordering activity in line with agreed par levels and operational requirements. Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, substitutions or quality concerns, escalating issues as required.
  • Storage & Organisation: Ensure all goods are stored correctly in line with food safety standards, allergen controls and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles. Maintain clean, organised, secure and hygienic storage areas at all times.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to health, safety and food hygiene requirements relating to stock handling and storage. Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and compliance checks.
  • Waste & Cost Control: Monitor expiry dates and stock usage to minimise waste through effective rotation and stock management. Report stock anomalies, losses or potential cost‑saving opportunities to management. Adhere to company waste management and recycling policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods for service. Communicate clearly with managers regarding stock shortages, urgent requirements or operational risks.

Behaviours, Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of stock control and inventory processes within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Awareness of food safety, hygiene and allergen management requirements relating to storage and handling.
  • Basic understanding of food cost control and waste reduction principles.
  • Ability to use inventory systems accurately and maintain clear records.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers and operational teams.
  • Relevant hospitality qualification or equivalent professional experience, with appropriate food‑safety and health and safety certification.
