The UK’s leading provider of adult short break experiences, Warner Hotels is a collection of unique properties in great locations across the UK.

We are looking for an experienced BI Developer to help shape and enhance our reporting and analytics capability. Based in our Hemel Hempstead Hub office, you’ll be focused on developing impactful Power BI solutions that enable colleagues across the business to make informed, data-driven decisions. Working closely with stakeholders and our established data team, you will translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards, robust semantic models and actionable insights. You’ll play a key role in improving how data is consumed across the organisation, championing best practice in visualisation, usability and self-service analytics.

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Power BI Expertise: Advanced experience designing, developing and maintaining high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
  • Data Visualisation: Strong understanding of visual design principles, user experience and storytelling through data, creating intuitive and engaging reporting solutions.
  • DAX: Confident developing measures, calculations and business logic within Power BI, balancing performance, maintainability and business requirements.
  • Business Insight: Understands how to present data in a way that highlights trends, opportunities and performance drivers.
  • Performance Optimisation: Experience improving report usability, model performance and scalability within Power BI.
  • SQL: Comfortable querying and validating data as required to support reporting and analysis.
  • Problem Solving: Able to investigate reporting issues, challenge requirements and recommend the best solution for the business.

We’re ideally looking for you to be:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
  • Highly experienced in developing Power BI solutions in a commercial environment.
  • Highly experienced in building semantic models, dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.
  • Familiar with data modelling principles and reporting best practices.
  • Familiarity with dbt, modern data platforms and analytics engineering concepts would be beneficial.
