Your New Role…
As the Product Manager for Streaming & Ad Innovation (EMEA), you will serve as a regional product leader driving the evolution of HBO Max and other WBD platforms through innovative ad-supported (AVOD) experiences. You will define how advertising, audience data, and measurement capabilities come together to power the future of streaming across key EMEA markets.
You will work with regional and global stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Ad Tech, Data, and Commercial teams to shape scalable, localized ad experiences. Your mandate includes building engaging ad formats, overseeing the seamless integration of the FreeWheel ad server, optimizing Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) workflows, and delivering actionable audience data products that align with privacy regulations and drive monetization outcomes.
You are a strategic product thinker with deep knowledge of video streaming and digital advertising. You understand how regional market dynamics, customer behaviours, and regulatory frameworks impact platform decisions. You are data-literate, technically conversant with SSAI/CSAI and DAI environments—and thrive in cross-functional teams that require collaboration, influence, and focused execution. You bring a builder’s mindset and are passionate about improving the viewing and advertising experience across devices and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead the product strategy and roadmap for AVOD experiences across EMEA, ensuring regional requirements are reflected in platform design and monetization capabilities.
-
Define and scale ad formats (e.g., pause ads, overlays, interactive units) tailored to EMEA consumption behaviours and aligned with global monetization goals.
-
Partner with Engineering and Ad Tech teams to manage the integration and evolution of FreeWheel across EMEA platforms—supporting advanced ad decisioning, SSAI/CSAI, and real-time delivery optimization.
-
Collaborate with global data and local measurement teams to implement audience measurement frameworks with partner like Nielsen, Kantar, Moat, ComScore, IAS, and internal analytics platforms.
-
Serve as the connective tissue between regional stakeholders in Ad Sales, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Operations, translating monetization strategies into productized capabilities that scale.
-
Define and track product success metrics, run experiments, and continuously optimize features based on viewer behaviour, ad performance, and business impact.
-
Act as a regional voice within global product forums—clearly articulating EMEA needs, aligning on priorities, and ensuring successful delivery of initiatives.
-
Operate with a high level of autonomy in a complex, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
Experience and Qualifications
-
Proven and successful product management experience in streaming, digital media, or ad tech environments.
-
Thorough understanding of the linear TV and CTV advertising marketplace.
-
Experience launching or managing ad-supported video products across multiple platforms and devices.
-
Deep understanding of the ad tech stack, with hands-on experience with ad servers like FreeWheel.
-
Strong domain expertise in video ad insertion technologies and digital video ads standards.
-
Familiarity with audience measurement standards and tools (e.g., Kantar, Nielsen, IAS, ComScore).
-
Strong collaboration skills and experience working with global engineering and business teams.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting product strategy and results to senior stakeholders.
-
Proven ability to synthesize business goals, customer needs, and technical capabilities into clear product requirements.
