HBO Max is home to bold originals and unforgettable characters. We’re hiring to build and optimize the HBO Max content offering, with a focus on Ingest Partner experiences. This is a fixed-term contract position for 12 months, reporting to the EMEA VP Merchandising.
Your New Role
The HBO Max, Partnership Merchandising Specialist is responsible for maximizing the full potential of HBO Max content with emphasis on Ingest Partner experiences.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Operational
- Set up the initial framework for each new Ingest partner based on the partner platform’s limitations, features and functionalities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for operational issues, communications and updates with the respective Partners’ teams.
- Execute day-to-day homepage operations in the partner’s back-end system (trainings provided).
- Act as the main liaison between the EMEA Merchandising team and local market representatives and partners to incorporate feedback into planning and implementation.
- Become a power user of Site Builder (Content Management System) and the partner’s back end once trained.
- Leverage tools and algorithms to automate and personalize content delivery within partner platform capabilities.
- Address automated curation and utilize recommendation engines to enhance personalization.
- Collaborate with Merchandising Analysis & Insights to receive data to inform merchandising decisions.
- Partner with campaigns on strategy and locally implement campaign elements on the partner page.
- Support other merchandising team members in troubleshooting and ensuring high-priority issues are resolved promptly.
- Strategy
- Adapt Global and EMEA merchandising strategies to local audiences and partner platform capabilities.
- Contribute to the tagging process in coordination with the broader merchandising team.
- Coordinate on strategy for all local acquisitions to reflect market and partner priorities.
- Act as merchandising primary contact for Operations, Marketing and Partnership stakeholders.
- Use merchandising strategies to improve content discoverability, engagement and KPI performance.
- Use data to drive decisions and share actionable insights with Global Merchandising and other stakeholders.
- Stay connected to market zeitgeist to leverage moments for content discovery.
- Contribute to cross-team collaboration and share successful curation strategies beyond the primary page.
- Contribute to tooling improvements and workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Passionate about content: strong knowledge of local content and familiarity with WBD’s catalogue and competitors’ content.
- Data-Driven: comfortable analyzing data and using it to optimize work; evidence of shifting strategy based on quantitative metrics.

- Operational Excellence:
- Strong pursuit of operational and workflow efficiency.
- Proficiency in digital merchandising operations and CMS tooling.
