Overview

Step into the world of Set Lighting and play a key role in the cutting-edge technology that brings stories to life. As a Control & LED Assistant, you\’ll be part of the team responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our LED and Control department. From prepping advanced lighting systems to assisting with on-set setups, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the most technically exciting areas of filmmaking.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with pulling work orders for our sales team to ensure all jobs are picked and delivered within the allotted time frame and escalating any shortages.
  • Testing and cleaning equipment/lights, raising any defects or damages to seniors for logging.
  • Assisting with updating LED fixtures and control equipment with the latest firmware/software
  • Complete stock takes
  • Cable cleaning and re-wrapping for turnaround use
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workplace
  • IT knowledge – basic networking, using operating systems, and user interfaces for control devices that require resetting and testing
  • Experience with manual handling
  • Previous experience with Film and Television lighting equipment is advantageous
  • Previous experience with lighting software is advantageous

About the Team and Working Arrangements

Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a world-class film and TV studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. The Studio site includes 20 sound stages, production offices, workshops, an indoor water tank, and a backlot. Warner Bros. Set Lighting & Rigging provides the lighting equipment, scaffolding, and production supplies for stage and location shoots worldwide. Onsite Working – this role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to applicable laws, the company reserves the right to change this working agreement where essential to business needs and with reasonable notice to you.
