The Category Manager will take ownership of the Food & Beverage and Health & Beauty categories, including oversight of associated promotional partnerships. This role carries full P&L responsibility and is instrumental in shaping and executing strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth within the UK market.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Category Manager to define and implement the strategic direction for each FHB sub-category within the Warner Bros. portfolio and wider retail landscape.
- Deliver best-in-class category and promotional execution, including range planning, new product development (NPD), packaging strategy, and point-of-sale (POS) activation.
- Align promotional strategies with cross-divisional initiatives and broader theatrical marketing campaigns to deliver a cohesive Warner Bros. brand presence across the UK market.
- Proactively identify new market opportunities within the FHB category; lead engagement with existing licensees and pitch to potential new partners.
- Deliver against financial objectives by meeting or exceeding revenue targets and quarterly budget commitments for assigned categories.
- Own and manage budget forecasting and reforecasting across designated categories to ensure alignment with wider commercial targets.
- Conduct regular business reviews (quarterly or as required) with key partners to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal Warner Bros. teams—including regional and global stakeholders—to maximise commercial opportunities and support high-impact strategic pitches.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to inform category strategy and product development plans.
- Ensure all category and promotional initiatives align with brand and franchise guidelines, working closely with brand, marketing, and creative teams to maintain consistency and brand integrity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in FMCG/Health & Beauty product management and licensing, with a strong understanding of product lifecycle, promotional planning, and go-to-market strategies within this space.
- Experience in managing retail relationships, and maximising the commercial return of brand/product listings.
- Commercially driven with strong financial acumen, able to develop and execute strategies that deliver revenue growth and meet budget targets.
- Analytical and insight-led, with the ability to interpret market data, consumer trends, and sales performance to inform decision-making and optimise category performance.
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, experienced in working collaboratively with licensees, retailers, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of leading multiple initiatives across product development, retail execution, and promotional activity.
- Strategic, adaptable, and brand-focused, with a proactive mindset and commitment to upholding brand integrity across all commercial activities.
