Overview
Support live productions for TNT Sports and Discovery/Eurosport, covering football, cricket, rugby and cycling. Provide engineering tier 2 (old tier1) support for studios, production and post‑production, collaborating closely with Tier 1 teams in Chiswick and Paris, as well as Tier 3 (COE) teams to resolve issues and improve broadcast platforms.
Location & Shift Pattern
Chiswick Park, London. Shift‑based pattern including weekends and occasional nights, with occasional work at other sites such as Stockley Park.
Responsibilities
- Deliver all engineering requirements in partnership with other teams.
- Support production markets in Stockley Park and the Nordic regions remotely and onsite.
- Ensure smooth running of live events and resolve tickets from start to resolution.
- Assist the Projects team with large‑scale work and keep technical documentation up to date.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders and follow a health & safety culture.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of the production engineering environment and broadcast chain.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, fault‑finding from first principles and calm under high‑pressure, time‑critical broadcast production environments.
- Broad broadcast technical background (IP video 2110, AES 67, NMOS, UHD & HD video, HDR & SDR video, 5.1 & Dolby Atmos audio, Graphics, VR/AR, replay and codecs).
- Good understanding of IT technologies (network, virtualization, storage, cloud services, security). Ability to learn and keep up with technical changes.
- Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills, strong teamwork and self‑motivation.
- Working knowledge of health & safety best practice and an appreciation of project management.
On‑site Working
All working hours and days will be carried out at the place of work, subject to applicable laws and company policy.
