Job Title: Production Operations Coordinator

The Production Operations Coordinator provides logistical coordination and support to the broadcast facility and production teams based out of the London technical hubs. The facility includes Production and Sound Control Rooms, Studios, Commentary booths, Edit suites, and Multi-Function Rooms, which operate 24/7. The role involves providing administrative and coordination support to the live gallery and studio production teams during both live and prep days.

As part of the Production Operations team, you will collaborate with production colleagues and the wider business to deliver outstanding sporting and business content across EMEA. The role requires occasional weekend and evening work, with primarily standard office hours. Flexibility is essential, and you will work across Chiswick and Stockley sites to support the busy event calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Production Operations team in event planning and execution of live broadcasts and corporate events.
  2. Maintain production calendars and scheduling software.
  3. Manage the event calendar, ensuring all upcoming events are up-to-date and properly resourced.
  4. Coordinate with Operation Resources, Production Managers, and Technical/Audio Supervisors to ensure accurate communication of production information.
  5. Identify staffing hot spots early and escalate as needed.
  6. Participate in daily scheduling meetings to ensure information accuracy.
  7. Organize training for new freelance Technical Leads and support onboarding systems.
  8. Assist internal and external contributors in navigating corporate systems.
  9. Support studio and gallery teams with ad hoc tasks during production days.
  10. Provide monthly updates on facility utilization.
  11. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies.
  12. Collaborate with other GT&O organizations such as MAM, Ingest, Engineering, MCR, and Programming.
  13. Monitor and seek feedback on facility performance, promoting service improvements.
  14. Support the rollout of new systems and software for the facility.
  15. Share best practices and process improvement opportunities.
  16. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in live, multi-sport production.
  • A passion for sports and live production.
  • Strong knowledge of television and digital production.
  • Understanding of scheduling systems and rostering restrictions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in live galleries or studio environments is preferable.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative confidently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
