Your New Role...
The Commentary Coordinator is responsible for following agreed procedures, meeting client expectations, and ensuring that live commentary requirements are adhered to during linear and digital live broadcasts and productions.
This role acts as a bridge of communication between 21 regions across Europe, coordinating commentary across local, Eurosport and TNT channels.
The role is also responsible for Audio Quality Control across all regions and collaborating with Audio teams to support correct delivery.
Working closely with editorial, scheduling, commentary, engineering, digital and linear teams across technology hubs and offices, the Commentary Coordinator helps centralise requests, share key information and contribute to delivering the best product to customers.

Your Role Accountabilities...
- Establish and maintain relationships with commentators and planners in territory and in-house.
- Coordination and oversight of 20 regions' Commentary plans for large-scale WBD sporting events.
- Quality Control checks and monitoring of all live delivery of commentary.
- Escalate and help resolve any technical issues that might arise during line-up by engaging with the appropriate technical departments.
- Execute correct procedure for the live broadcast in cooperation with Live Team, Ingest MCR Operators, Live TX Operators, and Engineering.
- Liaise with MCR Operators, Live Technical Operators, Engineering and Production during a live broadcast/commentated event.
- Update resource scheduling systems when required.
- Report issues for follow-up and provide any external reports required for events.
- Maintain a high level of reliability on live broadcasts and productions and continuously keep skills up to date with business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working in a live broadcast environment, preferably with some production experience.
- Good IT skills and experience of scheduling systems.
- Flexibility and adaptability to different business requirements.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- An interest in sports is beneficial.

- Working across 10,000+ live broadcasts/feeds per annum.
- Working across 20 Eurosport channels and 8 TNT Sport channels.
- Reporting into and working within a department of 25+ people.

Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work.
