Your New Role… Join Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as an Assistant Lead FMA and become a driving force behind the upkeep and presentation of our high‑profile studio. You’ll support the Lead FMA in delivering essential maintenance across offices, sound stages, workshops, and external areas, ensuring every space remains safe, functional, and visually well‑presented. Beyond hands‑on work, you’ll help coordinate contractors, oversee daily workflows, and support the development of a multi‑skilled team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring safe working practices across a diverse and fast‑moving space. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning, assist with vendor management, and help maintain the smooth operation of a complex site. It’s an ideal role for someone who thrives in a structured, professional environment and takes pride in delivering excellence.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Plan, organise and carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in developing long-term maintenance strategy aligned with WBSL Facilities department objectives.
  • Champion innovation and maintain awareness of evolving industry practices.
  • Report progress and updates via all media outlets provided, including responding, diagnosing, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Keep accurate records including sign-off sheets, compliance records, Planon updates which should state information such as: time spent working, description of works performed, and materials used.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and best practise guidelines.
  • Monitor H&S compliance, such as correct PPE being worn, as per the H&S at Work Act and WBSL H&S Policy.
  • Ensuring that the entire team is trained, has training records on all equipment/plant used/required in day-to-day activities, from abrasive tools, manual handling to IPAF qualification etc.
  • React to all emergencies with a view to implementing a permanent fix or a temporary safe fix to reduce downtime, working through an escalation process for a quick resolution.
  • Provide assistance and direction to contractors employed within the studio.
  • When necessary, be the point of contact Out of Hours to assist the on-site team with any queries or issues.

Qualifications & Experiences…

  • Supervisory experience within the construction industry or facilities or equivalent.
  • Multi-Trade Experience.
  • Strong understanding of COSHH.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Desirable…

  • City & Guilds Construction Qualifications.
  • Building Construction Qualifications.
  • Practical Training/Apprenticeship.
  • Proficient in Decorating and/or Qualification.
  • Ground works/Drainage experience.
  • CSCS Card.
  • IPAF/Forklift certification.

Working Pattern: You will be required to work a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern. You will also be required to work evenings and weekends in line with the operating hours of the studio and the studio tour; this includes working some bank holidays. There will be a requirement to respond to emergencies in and out of normal working hours. Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
