About Warmup and the ProTech team

Warmup is a global leader in smart, energy-efficient heating, designing and supplying trusted underfloor heating systems, controls and connected heating solutions for homes, installers, distributors and commercial projects around the world. We have supplied underfloor heating systems to more than 2.5 million homes worldwide and continue to grow through practical innovation, product quality and excellent technical support.

You will join ProTech, Warmup’s technical engine room: a collaborative, hands-on team that turns product knowledge into better customer outcomes. ProTech supports global Client Services, Sales, Marketing, Technical Writing and product teams by solving escalated technical issues, improving installer guidance, creating training, and building the knowledge systems that help colleagues and customers get the right answer faster. This is a team for people who enjoy understanding how things work, translating technical detail into clear guidance, and making support smarter, more consistent and more scalable.

About the role

As Technical Operations Assistant – Support & Training, you will support the ProTech team with supervised 2nd-line technical assistance, product training logistics, technical content preparation and knowledge-base maintenance. You will build practical Warmup product competence while helping improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of our technical support resources.

What you’ll do

  • Support supervised 2nd-line technical assistance by preparing triage packs, gathering photos, wiring diagrams and configuration captures, and reproducing issues on bench rigs where required.
  • Draft workaround and permanent fix notes for review, then help publish approved guidance to Q&A and Knowledge Centre resources.
  • Maintain simple case logs of novel issues and outcomes for leadership review.
  • Support training delivery by managing calendars, invites, attendee communications, attendance tracking, feedback surveys and action lists.
  • Build training module assets such as slides, handouts, checklists, scripts, storyboards and screen-captures.
  • Co-deliver training modules under supervision as your competence grows.
  • Draft and maintain Operation and Maintenance guides, Quick Start guides and Help Sheets with peer review, version control and accessibility in mind.
  • Assist with demonstration installs, filming support and practical validation of guidance.
  • Draft technical communications such as training updates, SharePoint posts and short blogs for review before publication.

What we’re looking for

  • Technical aptitude and the ability to follow product instructions, capture installation details and learn practical product knowledge.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to explain technical information in simple, accurate language.
  • Good organisation, time management and attention to detail.
  • Confidence gathering evidence such as photos, wiring diagrams, configuration captures and installation notes.
  • Ability to follow review processes and seek approval before publishing customer-facing content.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools.
  • Experience in technical support, customer service, installer support, construction, trades, product support, training coordination or content creation would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of underfloor heating, heating controls, electrical principles, wiring regulations or construction practice is desirable but not essential.

What we offer

  • Salary of £28,860–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus aligned to the TechOps structure.
  • Employer pension contributions in line with government requirements.
  • Private healthcare after successful completion of probation, subject to scheme rules.
  • Life assurance of 4x salary.
  • Income protection insurance covering 50% of salary in the event of qualifying long-term illness.
  • 24 days’ annual leave in the first calendar year, pro-rated as applicable.
  • Eyesight checks and a contribution towards glasses.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • A supportive route into a specialist technical career, with hands-on product learning, mentoring and opportunities to contribute to global support and training resources.

Application note

If you are interested in either role, please send your CV and a short covering note explaining which position you are applying for and why the ProTech support and training work appeals to you. All information received will be kept in strict confidence and used only for employment-related purposes. Whilst the role is advertised as hybrid, the first four weeks will require attendance in the office four days per week.
