Warings Furniture is a family-run business that designs, manufactures and delivers exceptionally high-quality furniture to hospitality clients both nationally and internationally. We have an opportunity for a carpentry / joinery assistant to join our busy team within our Furniture Manufacturing workshops based 1 mile from the A11 in Larling, Norfolk.

We are looking for candidates with the following practical skills and experience:

  • Carpentry/Joinery/Wood Machinist qualification an advantage
  • Good knowledge of woodworking machinery with experience working with woodworking machines & hand tools
  • Good knowledge of cabinetry (drawer runners, hanging doors, mortices, and tenons)
  • Experience working with laminates
  • Ability to use CNC machine and Copy Lathe would be an advantage, training will be provided
  • Experience in manufacturing and assembly
  • Ability to take accurate measurements
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, with the ability to produce good quality work
  • Ability to use own initiative with a can-do attitude and essentially a team player
  • Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads
  • Able to work safely, within HSE rules and regulations
  • Manual handling knowledge (some lifting required)
