Warings Furniture is a family-run business that designs, manufactures and delivers exceptionally high-quality furniture to hospitality clients both nationally and internationally. We have an opportunity for a carpentry / joinery assistant to join our busy team within our Furniture Manufacturing workshops based 1 mile from the A11 in Larling, Norfolk.
We are looking for candidates with the following practical skills and experience:
- Carpentry/Joinery/Wood Machinist qualification an advantage
- Good knowledge of woodworking machinery with experience working with woodworking machines & hand tools
- Good knowledge of cabinetry (drawer runners, hanging doors, mortices, and tenons)
- Experience working with laminates
- Ability to use CNC machine and Copy Lathe would be an advantage, training will be provided
- Experience in manufacturing and assembly
- Ability to take accurate measurements
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy, with the ability to produce good quality work
- Ability to use own initiative with a can-do attitude and essentially a team player
- Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads
- Able to work safely, within HSE rules and regulations
- Manual handling knowledge (some lifting required)
