We seek an Agricultural Solicitor with a strong background in handling complex agricultural legal matters. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload, deliver expert legal advice, and provide tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients. Your ability to navigate intricate legal frameworks, coupled with strategic problem-solving skills, will be key to helping our clients achieve their objectives.

  • At least 2+ years PQE with solid experience in agricultural law
  • Advising on Farm Business Tenancies, Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies, and Grazing Licenses
  • Handling the sale and purchase of agricultural property and businesses
  • Acting for lenders on security and funding matters
  • Drafting and advising on development agreements such as options, easements, and overage/clawback agreements
  • Providing excellent client service and understanding the needs of rural and farming clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to generate repeat work
  • Managing files efficiently using case management and time recording systems
  • Complying with professional practice rules and regulatory standards
  • Supporting marketing and business development activities
  • Taking part in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements/Desirables:

  • A Law degree (preferred) or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Agricultural Solicitor Role
  • Demonstrate agricultural awareness alongside a commitment to professional integrity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Great analytical skills and the ability to offer practical, risk-based solutions
  • Excel at working independently and collaboratively with all internal colleagues
