Bring your expertise to life’s big decisions.
Good private client advice starts with understanding what matters to the person in front of you. As a Probate Solicitor at Ware and Kay in Malton, you will manage a varied private client caseload covering wills, probate, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, tax and trusts, combining technical expertise with clear, sensitive advice.
You will take responsibility for progressing matters, drafting and reviewing legal documents, investigating estate assets and liabilities, and preparing probate applications and HMRC submissions. Working with the Head of Private Client, you will manage client relationships, maintain accurate records and regulatory standards, and take ownership of time recording, billing and cost recovery.
The role also gives you an active part in the team’s work and development. You will delegate appropriately, supervise work on allocated matters and offer guidance to junior colleagues and support staff. Alongside your caseload, you will build relationships with clients and referrers, contribute to business development and identify practical ways to improve how matters are managed.
