Organisation matters. So does the way you make people feel. As a Probate Legal Secretary at Ware and Kay in Malton, you will provide the secretarial and administrative support that helps fee earners progress probate and estate administration matters, while treating bereaved clients with sensitivity and care.
You will prepare correspondence and legal documents from digital dictation, templates and instructions, manage diaries and appointments, and keep physical and electronic files accurate and up to date. Alongside routine file opening, compliance and billing support, you will help monitor deadlines and liaise on administrative matters with executors, beneficiaries, banks, HMRC and the Probate Registry.
Working with multiple fee earners means balancing priorities, flagging conflicting deadlines and keeping colleagues informed. You will handle routine client enquiries, recognise when legal questions need a fee earner’s input, and provide team or reception cover when required. Your accuracy, discretion and thoughtful communication will make a practical difference to the service clients receive.
