Wards welding & fabrications requires a skilled CNC machinist to join its busy fabrication and engineering shop with a mixture of work.
- Set and operate a range of CNC and NC machines (Bridgeport, Colchester CMZ and Prototrak)
- Create and Edit programs at the machine
- Carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools
- Produce high quality components for a mixture of prototype, low volume and medium volume jobs
- Self-inspection of machined parts
- No offline programming
- Several years CNC machining experience
- Ability to confidently set and operate CNC mills & lathes
- Deburring
- Stock cutting
- Familiar with a range of materials (Aluminium, steel, stainless steel and super alloys)
- Preferential experience
- Familiar with Prototrak SMX and TMX controls
- Familiar with Fanuc based systems
Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
