Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing high quality child care for all children who attend Star Club (before and after school provision).
Position: After School Club Assistant Monday–Thursday 2:45 – 6:15
Responsibilities:
- Have experience of delivering imaginative and innovative activities to children.
- Ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating play environment.
- Assist in the administration of the club, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Supervise mealtimes.
- Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between their classrooms and the club.
- Ensure that areas are clean and cleared at the end of sessions.
- Communicate and liaise with parents.
- Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children.
- Have an optimistic attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job.
- Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative.
- Be patient and able to stay calm and listen and value children’s views.
- Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development.
- Have the ability to strictly maintain confidentiality.
- Have experience with some behaviour management techniques.
