The Opportunity:
We are currently instructed on a number of interesting and exciting projects ranging in type and size from £500k to £90m in construction value. These projects are across many different sectors of development including residential, energy and waste sectors. They range from small affordable housing sites to Major windfarms and infrastructure schemes.
Depending on your level of experience, you will be responsible for project managing your own schemes and project team, preparing high level analysis and design and detailed designs as required. Assisting and advising more junior members of staff throughout the whole team, report writing, liaising and dealing with other members of the Design team on projects.
Responsibilities:
- Directly report to the Technical Director.
- Work closely with colleagues to provide civil engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects.
- Liaise with clients, landowners, contractors, statutory authorities and third parties.
- Produce design work, advice and reports for clients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be qualified to at least BSc level in Civil Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Be experienced delivering civil engineering work.
- Have robust experience in the design of roads, drainage and earthworks design for a variety of sectors and project sizes. Hands-on CAD experience of 3D design using Civil 3D/PDS and Microdrainage/Causeway Flow.
- Have an excellent technical knowledge of Scottish Water, SEPA and Local Authority requirements for civil engineering projects.
- Be involved in coordinating and preparing proposals and bids.
- Be professionally chartered or working towards that goal and maintain ongoing CPD activity.
