Overview of the role:

Hours and location: 07:30 – 17:00, Mondays to Fridays but flexibility mandatory as and when the business requires this. Annual salary in the region of Β£34,000 per annum. The role will be based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

A new opportunity has arisen to join our forever growing Transport department based at WARD, Crompton Road, Ilkeston, DE7 4BG supporting a busy department in day-to-day administrative activities and other transport duties. The role will be office based in a busy transport yard working alongside our other team members within the office. You will not only be responsible for the general administration within the transport department but will also be required to speak with our internal sites, customers, external hauliers, and any other duties as required by the business. This is a diverse role working within a fast-paced environment, you must be adaptable and have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively and work with a high degree of care and attention. You will be a team player with excellent administration skills, strong IT skills and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Transport Manager, the Transport Administrator will provide a range of administrative support to include the following duties:
  • Filling in fuel reports/plant fuelling
  • Manning our in-house tyre procedure
  • Filling out accident forms and liaising with Health and Safety
  • PPE inventory and managing stock levels
  • Monthly site reports
  • Filing of all vehicle and driver documentation
  • Reporting monthly MPG for vehicles
  • Monthly mileage reports for all trucks
  • Issuing Purchase orders to service providers
  • General updating of Transport spreadsheets
  • Fire alarm checks and appropriate documentation kept up to date
