Ward Security is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day security operations within a prestigious corporate environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Control Room operations, supporting site teams, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring the effective operation of all security systems and procedures.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong operational knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Position: Security Operations Manager
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday
Location: London EC3M 5BN
Pay Rate: £15.79 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily Control Room and security operations
- Monitor and manage CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Fire Panels, and associated systems
- Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and security breaches promptly
- Ensure all patrols, reports, compliance checks, and incident logs are completed accurately
- Manage officer deployment, rotas, and shift handovers
- Maintain key control, contractor management, visitor access, and permit-to-work procedures
- Conduct CCTV reviews and provide reports when required
- Ensure all operational equipment and systems are functioning correctly
- Maintain accurate records including holidays, lateness, licences, and personnel files
- Support training, development, and performance management of security officers
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and site stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, assignment instructions, and health & safety procedures
- Maintain a professional, organised, and secure Control Room environment
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a Security Operations Manager, Security Manager, or Control Room role
- Strong knowledge of corporate security operations and security systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively
- Strong attention to detail and report-writing ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security management systems
- Valid SIA Licence essential
- CCTV Licence desirable
