We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Deputy Security Manager to support the management of a prominent corporate facility in London.

The Deputy Security Manager should have a good knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as the role also requires extensive CCTV knowledge. The successful candidate must have experience supporting the management and delivery of demanding fit-out programmes for office space and retail units. This will involve scheduling deliveries, providing fit-out contractors with safe access and egress, and ensuring there is a robust agreed process to manage the permit procedure while supporting the security team in adhering to it.

The Deputy Security Manager will support the Security Manager in ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the site-based security team. Any incidents, accidents, fabric damage, or issues with the security system must be escalated immediately in accordance with the site assignment instructions. Main Duties:

  • Support the Security Manager in the day-to-day management of the site security operation.
  • Engage professionally with tenants and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Assist in supervising the on-site security team, including coaching, training, performance management, and ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of site assignment instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Help ensure the site is fully staffed through effective rota management, whilst adhering to working time regulations and supporting planned and unplanned absence cover.
  • Work closely with the Client, Security Manager, and site team to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor and operate CCTV systems in accordance with GDPR and site procedures.
  • Undertake front-of-house duties to promote a welcoming and secure environment.
  • Act as a visible security presence and respond confidently to incidents and emergencies.
  • Identify and escalate issues promptly in line with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and security documentation.
  • Produce clear and comprehensive daily reports and incident reports.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Frontline SIA Licence.
  • Valid CCTV Licence.
  • Previous experience in a Security Supervisor, Deputy Manager, or similar leadership role within a corporate security environment.
  • Experience supporting security operations within commercial office or mixed-use developments.
  • Excellent customer service skills with experience in premium corporate or luxury environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and CCTV operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of security best practice, procedures, and compliance.
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • IT literate, with confidence using multiple systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to support the Security Manager in delivering a first-class security service.
