At Ward Security, we’re looking for a dynamic Security Manager to take charge of operations at one of our key sites - a highly sustainable, landmark building in the very heart of Birmingham city. You’ll lead a dedicated team of officers, provide strategic direction, and build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partner organisations to deliver exceptional security standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide operational and strategic leadership to a large on-site security team.
  • Develop and implement tailored security procedures to safeguard people, property, and assets.
  • Build trusted partnerships with clients, tenants, and external stakeholders such as local authorities and emergency services.
  • Lead on risk management, proactively identifying and mitigating potential threats.
  • Chair and contribute to key stakeholder and security meetings, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee the training, development, and performance of all officers, ensuring compliance with SIA and site requirements.
  • Manage all equipment, accountability processes, and site documentation, including CCTV operations and data release.
  • Support emergency response efforts and lead crisis management procedures to maintain safety and minimise disruption.
  • Drive a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.

About You

  • An experienced security professional with proven leadership skills.
  • SIA Licensed (CCTV Licence essential).
  • Holds a driving licence.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in technical security measures, including CCTV and access control systems.
  • A strong communicator who can engage and influence at all levels.
  • Motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering the highest standards of service and compliance.
