The role offers exposure to a broad range of projects, including healthcare, education and hospitality as well as a variety of other sectors. Our clients include NHS Trusts, universities, local authorities, major developers and private sector organisations, with commissions spanning all RIBA stages, from early feasibility and cost planning through to post-contract cost control and final account agreements.

The team comprises experienced cost managers and project managers across senior, mid-level and junior grades, with a strong mentoring culture, particularly for those working towards MRICS. There is close collaboration with other disciplines within the office, creating a well-rounded and supportive professional environment.

Key attributes:

Minimum of 2 years PQS experience in consultancy construction project management.

MRICS qualification or equivalent professional qualification, or a clear commitment to achieving chartered status.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, design coordination, procurement, and contract administration.

Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and maximising project profitability while maintaining quality.

Experienced in managing NEC, JCT, and other contract forms to ensure commercial success.

Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks to prevent impacts on timelines or budgets.

Ability to manage complex project timelines and deliver milestones on schedule.

Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and cost management software (e.g., CADMeasure, iTWO CostX).

Knowledge of regulatory standards, health & safety requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.

Effective leadership skills, guiding teams through changes in scope, schedule, or resources while maintaining focus and morale.

Strong communication skills, clearly reporting progress, challenges, and strategies to leadership and clients.

Excellent interpersonal skills, building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal team.
