We’re looking for someone with solid experience in a construction consultancy environment, confidence in client delivery, and the ambition to grow their career. We are looking for someone who has previous experience with programme, material movement and Strategic land, working with housing developers.

What is it like to work In Gloucester: Working from our Gloucester office means being part of a busy, friendly team of Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors who work closely together and support each other day to day. There’s a strong office culture and a real sense of momentum, with people regularly in the office, sharing ideas, problem-solving together and getting stuck into projects as a team. We believe that being present in the office really matters as it helps build relationships, develop skills and create a positive, engaging place to work.

You’ll work closely alongside the Gloucester Project Management Partner, playing an active role in shaping the direction and future growth of the office. You’ll also be involved in supporting and developing Ward Williams’ future talent, working with and mentoring our apprentices as they build their careers. It’s a hands‑on, supportive environment where you’re encouraged to contribute, trusted with responsibility and given the opportunity to make a real impact within a close‑knit and ambitious team.

Key Attributes:

  • Lead and manage the Project Management service.
  • Provide technical project management consultancy across pre‑and post‑contract stages.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and contract administration (NEC, JCT, ICC).
  • Deliver programmes and projects across various sectors, ensuring time, budget, quality, and compliance.
  • Support office growth through business development and local market knowledge.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, and value engineering to maximise best value.
  • Use project scheduling tools (Asta Power Project / MS Project advantageous).
  • MCIOB or equivalent (MRICS, APM) required, with a minimum of 2 years’ construction project management experience.
