Ward Security is on the lookout for a Security/Logistics Operative, who will work at our client’s premises at Brookmans Park, Hatfield. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to deliver an effective and efficient service to the client.
Position: Security/Logistics Operative
Pay rate: £14.18 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00
Location: Brookmans Park, Hatfield AL9

Must have:
- Valid SIA licence
- Driving License
- Proven work experience as a Security officer or relevant position
- Proven work experience in a logistics background
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- IT literate - Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Forklift licence preferable
- Van do attitude and be able to take ownership of tasks
Duties:
- Assist the supervisor on receiving the equipment at Brookman’s Park
- Ensure that the documents of the cargo received and shipped from Brookman’s Park are archived correctly (AWB, CRM, Proof of delivery, Collection note, etc.)
- Check the inventory of office supplies, cardboard boxes and advise the management team to refuel the stock
- Perform visual checks every 6 months to ensure the logistics equipment is in good condition and advise the management team (Hand pallet truck, trolleys, knives, etc.)
- Ensure the logistics office and warehouse are in a clean and organized condition
- Monitoring of access control
- Monitoring of CCTV
- Patrolling
- Key management
- Management of permits to work
- Management of induction/contractor paperwork
- FM duties requested by the Security manager or client
