At Ward, our Canine team act as a visual deterrent. Through rapid response and behaviour detection skills, our canine division are dedicated to keeping sites and individuals safe. We are looking for enthusiastic Security Dog Handlers; you will need to be physically fit as you will be patrolling our clients' site ensuring a safe and secure environment. Whether you’re an experienced Security Officer or just getting started, we’ll set you up for success.
Pay Rate: £35,000+ per annum (based on 48 hours per week)
Location: Kent and London - Days, Nights and Weekends

Your Main Responsibilities:
- Patrol client sites with a trained security dog to deter threats
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain high levels of vigilance and awareness
- Ensure your dog's health and welfare - regular feeding, grooming, and training
- Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients and the public
What You’ll Need:
- A valid SIA licence
- A manual UK driving licence with a clean record
- A secure, suitable home for a security dog
- Flexibility to work varied shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Good physical fitness and alertness
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence in writing legible, professional reports
