We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Security Team Leader to oversee security operations at a prominent corporate facility in London, EC1A 4HD. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting a security team, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, maintaining a clean and professional environment, and upholding robust security procedures.

You will have a strong background in the security sector, demonstrate leadership and decision-making capabilities, be IT proficient, and always present a polished and professional image. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will act as a key point of contact for staff, visitors, and management. You will oversee ID checks, respond to and manage incidents and emergencies, and ensure your team operates in line with site and company standards.

Role Requirements:

  • CCTV Licence
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership security role (minimum 1 year)
  • Minimum 2 years experience within corporate security
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Professional attitude and presentation
  • Ability to produce clear, concise verbal and written reports
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a security team
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving
  • Surveillance skills with strong attention to detail
  • IT literate, with the ability to operate detection systems and emergency equipment
  • 5-year checkable work history

Main Duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Lead and support the on-site security team, ensuring compliance with procedures
  • Ensure visitors and callers receive clear, accurate, and professional information in person, by phone, or email
  • Manage and escalate incidents to management as required
  • Maintain a professional presence and set standards for the team
  • Respond to and manage emergencies effectively
  • Handle conflict appropriately and confidently
  • Ensure incident reports are completed accurately and to company standards
  • Oversee ID checks and access control
  • Maintain vigilance regarding Health & Safety risks
  • Work independently and make sound operational decisions
  • Supervise cleaning staff to ensure reception, foyer, staff areas, and boardrooms remain clean and presentable
