We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Security Officer to safeguard a prominent facility in London, EC2R 7HJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a clean and professional environment, and maintaining a high level of security. The role requires a robust background in the security sector, proficiency in IT systems, excellent multitasking ability and a polished, professional appearance with excellent personal presentation.
Role: Security Officer
Pay Rate: £15 per hour
Shift Pattern: 6 on, 3 off, nights only.
Location: EC2R 7HJ, London.
Role Requirements:
- SIA License
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer (min 1 year)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
- Resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience within Corporate Security (min 1 year)
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- 5‑year checkable work history
- IT literate – ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
Main Duties:
- Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
- Provide concise information in person, over the phone or email to visitors and callers.
- Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Deal with conflict appropriately when required.
- Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management.
- Carry out ID checks.
- Remain vigilant to Health and Safety risks.
- Work on own initiative.
- Ensure the reception area, foyer, staff area and boardroom are kept clean, supervising cleaning staff members.
