We are looking for a Security Officer to become a valuable member of our team based at Erith, Kent.

Position: Security Officer

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 2 days, 2 nights and 4 off. Avg 42 hrs per week. 07:00-19:00 12 hour shifts.

Location: Erith, Kent

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner
  • Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal, are adhered to
  • Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers
  • Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets
  • Investigate and take appropriate lawful action as authorised by corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents

Qualifications:

  • Valid SIA licence
  • Proven work experience as a Corporate Security Officer—min 1 year
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High level of self‑presentation
  • IT literate – ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
  • Quick thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
  • 5‑year checkable work history
