We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Security Manager to lead the security operation at a high-profile, multi-use estate in Birmingham where safety is a top priority. This role offers you the chance to influence security strategy, build trusted partnerships, and lead a high-performing team committed to excellence.
Position: Security Manager
Pay rate: £38,000 – 40,000 per annum
Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday days, 46 hours per week
Location: Birmingham, B3 3AX

Responsibilites
- Provide operational and strategic leadership to a large on-site security team.
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, tenants, and external bodies including local authorities and emergency services.
- Develop and maintain robust security procedures for the estate’s unique environment.
- Act as the key liaison for all security matters, attending stakeholder meetings and representing the security team at the highest level.
- Lead emergency response efforts and develop contingency planning
- Day-to-day oversight of on-site security operations and control room management.
- Conducting security assessments, identifying risk, and implementing solutions.
- Managing all CCTV, access control systems, and sensitive data protocols.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and development of team leaders and security officers to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
- Ensuring all security staff are correctly licensed, scheduled, and supported.
- Supporting estate events and operations with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Upholding and enforcing all health & safety, emergency response, and site protocols.
Must Haves
- Proven Security Manager experience managing large security teams – 2 years
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of security systems, incident management, and compliance standards.
- Comfortable attending high-level meetings and presenting new initiatives confidently.
- Remain calm under pressure, with strong decision-making skills in emergency situations.
