Overview
We are looking for a professional and dependable Front of House Security Officer to join our team in Birmingham. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, visitors, and staff while delivering a welcoming and professional front-of-house experience.
Job Description
Your duties will include monitoring and patrolling the premises, managing access control, responding promptly to incidents, and maintaining a visible and reassuring presence at all times.
The ideal candidate will be confident, well-presented, and customer-focused, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude. Security SIA licence essential, CCTV desirable
Position: Front of House office Security Officer
Pay rate: £13.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Nights 60 Hours.
Location: Birmingham B3 2AB
Requirements
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Experience within a similar position is preferred
- 5-year checkable work history
Responsibilities
- To deter unauthorised activity / entry
- To offer advice / assistance to staff, visitors and contractors.
- Protect the premises, property and personnel from theft, damage, and violence.
- Patrol the building to prevent fire, flood, theft, and damage.
- Provide access to the premises to staff, visitors and contractors as instructed by the client.
- Issue and log keys; ensure their security and safe return after use.
- Operating, monitoring, and responding to installed security and safety systems including, access control, intruder, and fire alarms.
- Maintaining a log of occurrences.
- Production of incident reports.
- Ensure all incidents are escalated correctly and in a timely manner.
- Direct and assist visitors.
- Monitoring and overseeing the effective performance of security equipment.
- To provide cover for the reception desk as and when required.
- Carry out weekly checks of the fire exits and intruder alarm system.
- Comply with and operate site security instructions and policies
- Comply with and operate site emergency and Health & Safety procedures; respond as necessary to emergencies, including assistance to the emergency services in the event of fire/bomb threats.
