Are you an experienced Security professional with strong leadership skills and outstanding communication abilities? Do you excel at building strong client relationships, managing teams, and staying composed under pressure? We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Duty Security Manager to manage a prominent facility in London N1. You will enforce security and ensure the well-being and protection of our clients’ staff, tenants and guests. Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service are key for this position. You should have a robust background in the security sector, proficiency with IT systems, the ability to multitask, and a professional and polished demeanour alongside excellent personal presentation.

Position

  • Pay rate: £17.49 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, days and nights, 12-hour shifts
  • Location: London N1

Main Duties

  • Act as the main point of contact for all security, fire, and health & safety matters, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Respond professionally to emergencies, fire alarms, medical incidents, and crises while following established escalation procedures.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, welfare checks, appraisals, and ensure all officers are fully competent and presentable.
  • Carry out routine checks of all security posts, control rooms, emergency exits, and critical areas to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Deliver a proactive, friendly, and efficient service to tenants, visitors, the management team, and the public.
  • Write clear, detailed reports on incidents, investigations, faults, and daily operations. Ensure timely and professional communication.
  • Monitor contractors, enforce permits and H&S rules, manage access control, CCTV, keys, radios, and all life safety systems.
  • Actively oversee access control, CCTV, alarms, and fire panels, ensuring any faults or anomalies are reported and resolved.
  • Work collaboratively with all onsite departments to ensure compliance with procedures and smooth delivery operations.
  • Take responsibility for operational decisions when senior management is unavailable, ensuring continuity of service.

Requirements

  • DS & CCTV license required
  • Must have experience and skills
  • Valid CCTV License
  • Minimum 2 years of corporate managerial security experience
  • A profound comprehension of premium customer service standards within a five-star setting.
  • Outstanding communication skills fostering seamless interactions.
  • Expansive knowledge of best-practice security standards and protocols
  • An unwavering commitment to maintaining ethical practices and integrity.
  • IT literate to an advanced level with the ability to work competently in multiple system applications.
