Responsibilities
- Access control to the building; meet and greet visitors, contractors and staff.
- Be vigilant and the first point of call for any suspicious activity; carry out ID checks and respond to emergencies.
- Provide information to staff and visitors and support Front of House duties as required.
- Cover sickness, holidays and events; provide last-minute cover when contacted.
- Operate, monitor and respond to installed security and safety systems including CCTV, access control, intruder and fire alarms; log occurrences and produce incident reports.
- Help with security duties including patrolling, protecting premises, and ensuring authorised entry.
- Check and validate passes for staff, visitors and contractors; issue and log keys and ensure security of keys after use.
- Direct and assist visitors; provide staff to assist in programmes, corporate events and functions.
- Locking/unlocking offices as necessary; check firefighting equipment and monitor security equipment performance.
- Comply with site security instructions, policies and health & safety procedures; assist emergency services in case of fire or bomb threats.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA licence
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer (minimum 1 year)
- Experience in Front of House/Reception duties
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High level of self-presentation
- IT literate; ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges

- Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
- Shift Pattern: Days, Nights and Weekends
