Class 1 RORO Wagon & Drag and ADR Driver – Full Time, Permanent
Based at our Cardiff Site, Cold Store Road, CF10 4LY
£15.50 per hour + Overtime +Night Out Allowance

Are you a reliable and professionalClass 1 RORO Wagon & Drag and ADR Driverwith experience in Waste, Recycling or General Haulage? If so, Ward wants to hear from you.
You’ll be joining a team of over 100 professional drivers at one of the UK’s leading metal and waste recycling specialists. We’re proud to be a FORS Gold-accredited operator and we invest heavily in our people, safety, and ongoing driver development.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicating with your planner and following daily schedules
- Liaising with customers and clients on site, maintaining good relationships
- Conducting thorough pre-start vehicle checks
- Reporting any vehicle defects
- Following company Safe Operating Procedures
- Taking care of your vehicle
- Completing daily checks and paperwork
- Handling collections and deliveries of ADR-regulated materials
- Complying with all ADR safety requirements and transport legislation
- Completing night outs as required – Night Out Allowance paid
Skills and Knowledge Required
- LGV Cat C+E License (Class 1)
- Current DCPC Card
- Up-to-date ADR certification
- Good geographical knowledge
- Proven experience transporting ADR waste or materials
- Willingness to complete night outs when required

Working hours will be up to 60 hours per week, with any hours worked over 40 paid at an enhanced overtime rate. Weekend work will be required during busy periods.
