We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Private Client team in Newcastle. You will be supporting fee earners in providing a wide range of legal services and delivering an exceptional service to our clients. This role will be largely office based.
What will I be doing:
- Supporting on a wide range of Private Client matters, ensuring all required documentation is in place.
- Managing, under supervision, straightforward probate matters.
- Assisting with the preparation of Estate Accounts including undertaking bank reconciliations.
- Preparing "first draft" straightforward Wills, and deeds and documents such as Deeds of Retirement, Trustees' Minutes and Resolutions.
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Attending client meetings and dealing with initial inquiries from third parties.
- Undertaking Land Registry searches and legal research.
You’ll have:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and good all-round IT skills.
- The ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, and manage your time effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- The ability to adapt your style, be proactive, and effectively solve problems.
- Previous legal work experience would be advantageous but not essential.
