We are seeking a Marketing Planning and Campaign Manager to join our growing marketing team. The role can be based at any of our UK offices (Newcastle, Teesside, Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham). This is a unique opportunity for an experienced marketing generalist to step into a senior, commercially focused role. If you’re ready to shape strategy, influence at senior level and deliver impactful marketing activities, we’d love to hear from you.
You will act as a trusted adviser to partners and senior stakeholders, collaborating closely with marketing and business development colleagues to translate commercial ambition into clear, insight-led plans. Sitting at the centre of go-to-market activity, you’ll shape strategy, challenge thinking and ensure initiatives are purposeful, targeted and results-driven. This role focuses on proactive planning rather than reactive delivery.
You will take ownership of the full campaign lifecycle, asking the right questions, defining the brief, and leading delivery across multiple channels including digital, content, events, PR, thought leadership and client engagement. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will ensure activity is aligned, well-governed and delivers measurable impact against agreed commercial objectives.
What will I be doing?
- Own annual planning processes across the firm, shaping and evolving how plans are structured to reflect strategic priorities and external drivers.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, from brief through execution to evaluation, ensuring activity is aligned and delivers against agreed objectives.
- Develop integrated plans that connect strategic and commercial objectives to the right marketing activity across departments, offices and sectors.
- Build and manage marketing budgets in line with agreed plans, ensuring effective prioritisation, governance and value from investment.
- Use data, insight and market intelligence to improve decision-making, sharpen targeting and strengthen future performance.
- Oversee delivery from brief through execution to evaluation, ensuring work is on time, on brand and aligned to agreed objectives.
- Manage agencies and suppliers, holding them to brief, budget and performance standards.
- Build and continuously improve planning processes, tools and templates that raise the standard of how marketing is commissioned and delivered across the team.
- In this foundational role, you will also have the opportunity to grow and lead a team over time.
About you
- Experienced marketing generalist with strong planning and delivery expertise across multiple channels; ability to own a campaign from strategy through to results.
- Strategic thinker with commercial drive; connect objectives to marketing activity and explain the rationale clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, with experience managing budgets and allocating spend to maximise impact against agreed objectives.
- Highly organised and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously without losing momentum.
- Data-led mindset, comfortable using insight, reporting and performance metrics to guide decisions and make a clear case for activity.
- Strong project management capability with the ability to maintain pace and quality under competing demands.
- High standards, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.
- Experience in professional services, B2B or partnership-led environments is desirable.
