We're looking for two Paralegals to join our busy Social Housing Litigation team in either our Leeds, Newcastle or Manchester offices. You'll be assisting experienced Solicitors working on litigation cases; primarily housing disrepair matters.

What will I be doing

  • Assisting Solicitors, Associates and Partners in defending housing disrepair (primarily in pre-action cases) on behalf of social housing providers.
  • Using precedents and own initiative to draft correspondence and standard documents.
  • On-going file management / administration including updating the case management system.
  • General file administration including file opening/closure, scanning, photocopying and general document management.
  • Assisting others within the team with any other pertinent matters as may be required from time to time.

You'll have

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-office team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and other IT packages.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines as well as flexibility and proactivity in supporting others within the team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience conducting legal research.
