Are you passionate about empowering people through training? In this role, you will drive the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of technical training programmes that support the Warburtons Quality Strategy and enable the delivery of unbeatable quality products. You’ll identify the right training solutions to build essential skills and knowledge across the business ensuring our teams are equipped to deliver excellence every day.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve technical training programmes that support the Warburtons Quality Strategy and enable outcome-focused, high-quality production.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the imPROVE programme, expanding its reach to additional product platforms and ensuring materials remain relevant and aligned with business needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for bakery workplace assessors, maintaining a robust network of assessors and ensuring consistent communication, updates, and support.
  • Lead learning needs analyses, identify gaps, and develop innovative, engaging, and pragmatic training solutions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate requirements into creative, business-focused training content; organise product knowledge packs to support innovation and launches.
  • Deliver high-quality training courses up to senior management level, manage logistics and documentation, and use the Learning Hub to promote and host offerings; conduct post-course evaluations and classroom observations to drive improvement.
  • Build external relationships with industry bodies, stay ahead of bakery trends, and advise on emerging technologies and business cases for new initiatives.
  • Work with Centre Quality SLT and function Heads to identify talent and development opportunities; ensure training provision aligns with long-term business goals.
Qualifications
  • Excellent technical bakery knowledge, preferably with a Food Technology/Technical qualification at HND/BSc level or equivalent.
  • Experience in a technical role at site level, including interaction with a senior management team.
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
  • Thorough understanding of the Chorleywood bread making process.
  • Understanding of Apprenticeship standards and T Levels relevant to the technical function.
  • Experience in training design and delivery with ability to design innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills across verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Strong requirements gathering skills and ability to identify key messages.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications for design and delivery of training materials and schedules.
  • Team player with ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Mentor skills with experience motivating people directly and indirectly.
  • Commercial awareness of balancing manufacturing costs and quality.
  • Ability to assimilate facts, make decisions, and be accountable for decisions.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
