Title: Trainee Class 2 Driver

Location: Eurocentral

Shifts: hours per week, 5 over 7 rolling rota

Salary: £581.09 per week (rising to £756.46 per week upon completion and move into Class 2 position)

Essential Ingredients

To join the Warburtons family, you\’ll need a full current UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points. You\’ll also have a good knowledge of transport legislation, be reliable, responsible, customer focused and used to working in a fast paced environment, ideally with multi drop or home delivery experience and ideally previous experience of picking orders.

The Recipe

  • Be supported by the driver training teams in an intensive training course, to gain your Class 2 Licence, with no cost to you.
  • Ongoing fully funded Driver CPC (Your Driver CPC training is in work hours too, not outside of them)
  • Be an early riser. Your shift will start at around 3.30am, so it\’s an early start, but your afternoons will be your own.
  • You will also enjoy plenty of autonomy. As a driver you\’ll be given delivery notes (or an electronic device), from which you\’ll accurately pick the orders (either prior to leaving or out on your route) and load your vehicle with bakery products.
  • Work set contracted hours and have stable shift patterns. That\’s 43 hours a week, working a rotating 5 days including weekends, although a typical week can be less than that. All of which will hopefully help you to plan your life around work more easily.

Eurocentral is situated 3 miles from our Bellshill Bakery on the M8 corridor mid-way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. We deliver from Coatbridge in the central belt, to as far north as the Tay Bridge, as far south as Hawick and the full of the east coast including Edinburgh city centre.

We have several different shift patterns for Drivers and Warehouse Team Members, something to suit everyone and work closely with our Bakeries to ensure our 770 customers have their freshly baked products daily, delivering over 28 million products per year And we\’re still growing….
