Do you have your class B car licence with the desire to further your career and gain your Class 2 licence, with all of the costs of your training and licence taken care of?

Essential Ingredients

To join the Warburtons family, you’ll need a full current UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points. You’ll also have a good knowledge of transport legislation, be reliable, responsible, customer focused and used to working in a fast paced environment, ideally with multi drop or home delivery experience and ideally previous experience of picking orders.

The Recipe

Be supported by the driver training teams in an intensive 6 week training course, to gain your Class 2 Licence, with no cost to you. Ongoing fully funded Driver CPC (Your Driver CPC training is in work hours too, not outside of them). You’ll be an early riser—shifts start around 04:00 (some patterns may vary). The upside? Never miss the 3pm school run again. You’ll enjoy plenty of autonomy. You’ll be given delivery notes (or an electronic device), from which you’ll accurately pick the orders either at the depot or on the move and load your own vehicle with our baked goods. To help keep your day smooth and safe, knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and transport legislation will be included. Once your route for the day is loaded into your onboard computer, you’re off! You’ll deliver to multiple customers daily (they’re like family to us), so top-notch service, strong relationships, and professionalism are a must. This includes being able to manage difficult conversations in a calm manner and acting as an ambassador for our brand. You’ll work a defined rotating 5 over 7 rota, including weekends. That’s 43 hours a week! All of which will hopefully help you to plan your life around work more easily.

At Warburtons, you’re more than a driver. There’s no aimless wandering looking for things. You load your own vehicle, making things that little bit easier to find. You’ll also make sure each delivery is picked accurately and in full from your delivery notes or electronic device. So, if you like to be hands-on, love a bit of organisation, and want to keep the nation’s eggs in their soldiers, then hop in and join us on the road to bread-based glory.

Extra Dough

And last but by no means yeast... what’s your bread worth?

  • Basic Weekly Pay of £602.01 per week (rising to £783.69 upon completion and move into the Class 2 position)
  • A slice of the profits (discretionary annual profit share)
  • Ongoing CPC Modules (Your training is during working hours—so no need to give up your free time)
  • Award-winning pension scheme with company contributions up to 7% (Rising to 12% with length of service)
  • Life assurance
  • Product you’ll love, plus deals and discounts for you and the family through our Extra Dough platform
  • Continued investment in your personal development
  • Kitchens fully stocked with our tasty products—perfect to enjoy with your daily brew
