The Role: As a Talent Acquisition Partner at Warburtons, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our Distribution business moving forward with the right people in place. Partnering closely with leaders, you’ll attract, assess and appoint great talent who live our values and help the business deliver day in, day out. You’ll shape effective sourcing strategies, share honest market insight and bring expertise, energy and care to every interaction creating a standout experience for candidates and stakeholders alike. Reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition, you’ll also lead our Distribution TA teams, setting direction and supporting them to deliver regional recruitment plans right across the UK. It’s about doing recruitment properly, building trust, and bringing our EVP to life at every touchpoint.
Essential Ingredients:
- Solid experience gained either in-house or with an agency, specialising in Distribution or Manufacturing recruitment, and confident operating at pace in complex, operational environments.
- A strong practitioner’s grounding in modern recruitment best practice, using advanced sourcing and screening tools, with a proven ability to partner credibly with the business and add real value.
- A clear, practical understanding of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle in a large organisation – from workforce planning and forecasting through to offer and onboarding.
- Comfortable working with ATS and HRIS systems (ideally SuccessFactors or SmartRecruiters), acting as a go-to expert and helping others get the best out of the tools we use.
- Deep hands-on experience in direct sourcing, including headhunting, LinkedIn, job boards, social media and creative vacancy advertising – engaging both active and passive talent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and compliance, including GDPR, with confidence applying this in a commercial, pragmatic way.
- A natural communicator, able to build trust, influence and engage stakeholders at every level through clear, confident written and verbal communication.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior and executive leaders, operating as a trusted advisor rather than simply a service provider.
- A professional, detail-focused approach, with pride taken in producing high-quality work that reflects well on the function and the brand.
- Highly organised and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, staying focused and effective even when deadlines are tight.
- Proven experience working to SLAs, KPIs and targets, including cost-per-hire, time-to-hire and quality-of-hire measures.
- Confident using data and insight to tell a story, spot trends and drive smarter decisions – with a continuous improvement mindset.
