At Warburtons, family is at the heart of our business. We are looking to appoint Multi Skilled Engineers to join our growing team. Warburtons Bakery in Enfield is one of the largest bakeries in Europe and a vital part of our national network of 12 bakeries across the UK.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days and nights, working 6-6
Salary: up to £62,300 per annum depending on experience and skills

Essential Ingredients:
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience
- Fault Finding and Route Cause Analysis skills
- Structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/degree)
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in an FMCG environment
- H&S knowledge e.g., PUWER, IOSH – able to ensure a safe working environment
- Communication and relationship building skills
- Analysing and problem-solving skills
The Recipe:
Our Multi Skilled Engineers work in shift teams in close conjunction with production, safety and hygiene. The team undertake planned and preventative maintenance and are encouraged to use their engineering skills and experience to develop robust solutions and long-term fixes. There’s a huge variety of tasks that will range from general plant maintenance to improving plant reliability and diagnosing problems before they develop.
The Role:
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance activities are completed to a high standard
- Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently to maximise plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety
- Drive improvements in asset reliability and reduce losses
- Effective use of SAP PM
- Development of maintenance approach for bakery equipment
- Ensure plant and personnel conform to Health and Safety legislation, policy and standards
- Compliance with quality and food safety legislation
